COURSE PRESENTATION

Dr Julie Fendall will explore the osteopathic approach to newborns and children up to 3 years of age during the three-day course. The principles and methods demonstrated during the training are suitable also for older children.

The course will be mainly practical, and we will address each topic through a short theoretical introduction followed by a more extended hands-on experience. The lecturer will display several treatment approaches, including cranial osteopathy, balanced ligamentous tension (BLT), muscle energy and myofascial release techniques.

We will present various analysis and evaluation procedures and discuss contraindications to treatment. Also, you will learn how to integrate the principles of tensegrity and mechanotransduction within the treatment and use them during palpation to modify the connective tissue response.

We aim to offer practical approaches that are useful in daily clinical practice and improve the health of the newborn and the child.
