COURSE PRESENTATION

The training is a three-day course with Christian Fossum D.O. to delve into the osteopathic approach to the acute pain patient presenting to the practice when the pain factor is prevalent.

We will present the patient’s acute clinical condition, discuss its different features and manage it at its best through osteopathic manipulation. We will pay attention to characteristic problems such as headaches, facial neuralgia, neck and shoulder pain, and brachialgia. In addition, we will consider painful conditions related to respiratory and gastrointestinal disorders (such as irritable bowel syndrome).

You will learn how to treat pelvic pain, coxalgia and acute lower limb pain. During this course, we will emphasise techniques as a tool for improving body regions that are difficult to manage when affected by acute pain, such as the first and second ribs, the cervicothoracic junction, the lumbar spine and the lumbosacral junction.

Thanks to the topics addressed during the course, participants will enhance their skills in the management of acute and sub-acute symptomatology and the treatment of conditions that generally have a hard time responding to treatment.
