DESCRIPTION

“Reading this text is a wonderful journey into the depth and spirit of osteopathy. It is exciting and reawakens the reader to the beauty of wholeness. Dr. Lee has pulled back a veil that has hidden the essence of osteopathy for nearly a century.”

James S. Jealous, D.O.

Dr. Lee received his D.O. degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 1976. He completed a residency in OMM at the A.T. Still University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1986. He holds the FAAO and served on the Board of Directors of The Cranial Academy.
Dr. Lee is well versed in the history of osteopathy and has done extensive research on the origins and influences of osteopathy from its foundation to the present day.
In “Interface: Mechanisms of Spirit in Osteopathy,” Dr. Lee summarizes current scientific knowledge and describes the mechanisms that link body, mind, and spirit. He describes the indissolubility of the living being at the heart of Still’s philosophy and finally defines a model representing the osteopathic approach to healing.

“Healing takes place because the spirit gives it momentum, the action of healing is palpable, you can feel it under your hands while you are palpating the primary respiratory mechanism.”

The primary respiratory mechanism described by Sutherland is the interface between matter and energy, between the material and spiritual elements, and it is everywhere; you just have to look for it. A book that fascinates and can be read repeatedly through the pages of which emerges a much more spiritual vision of Dr. Still than that diffused in the current teaching of osteopathic medicine.
